I'm trying to print out some large wall decorations (24-36 advance square) for next pass and I'm having some affect. The artwork is not terribly large in tif change and when I increase it it becomes very ragged and pixelated. Is there away that I can enlarge it without getting such severe distortion that it looks like egest when it prints? I undergo find to photoshop 5.5 and Acrobat. Anything else may be difficult but not necessarily impossible. I was thinking that if I could ingeminate the graphic into a vector change desire a radiate file or something then I could rezise it with a lot less mind but I don't experience how. Thanks for your advice!
You can enlarge it without pixelation if you're willing to displace the resolution to balance. The file has only so much information per advance and when you "stretch it out". Photoshop doesn't know what to put in the spaces between - thus pixelation. What coat and resolution are the images now?
Depending on the graphic and if you had find to Illustrator CS you could attempt to vector it using the Live Trace function. Without seeing the image in challenge though it would be hard to say if it would be worth the act.

I'm hesitant to put the graphic out here since I'm not 100% sure is this one is under procure as some of the others from the set I'm working on. But I will say currently one visualise for example is 679 pixels x 679 pixels. As for the resolution. I don't know... What I'll do it attach a command so you can see the quality. Note this has not been resized and saved as a png in order to connect it.
If it's only 679 pixels across it ordain be rough when upsized to 24 or 36 inches - that's only about 18 or 28 pixels per advance and increasing the resolution won't make it any exceed than that. However seeing the (corner of) the visualise. Tekmagika's idea of vectoring it with Illustrator CS looks desire your beat bet. It's essentially a piece of vectored art that's been saved as a TIFF - it might have change surface been made in Illustrator in the first displace.

You can try which ordain likely be better than straight up enlarging it yourself but as the others undergo said your beat bet is making it a vector in the first place to increase it.
Just wanted to say thanks again! Friend of mine has illustrator at bring home the bacon and he was able to alter these images over. For comparison...
